Corcovado National Park
Located in the Peninsula of Osa to the south-west of the country, is considered a site of great beauty and one of the most important National Parks. It has virgin forests bordering with miles of deserted beaches, natural waterfalls, and deep vegetation.
With an average of 500 species of trees, 140 species of mammals, 300 classes of birds, 40 species of freshwater fish and 117 documented amphibians, it is considered ‘one of the most biologically intense areas in the world’ by National Geographic magazine.
