Corcovado National Park

Located in the Peninsula of Osa to the south-west of the country, is considered a site of great beauty and one of the most important National Parks. It has virgin forests bordering with miles of deserted beaches, natural waterfalls, and deep vegetation.

With an average of 500 species of trees, 140 species of mammals, 300 classes of birds, 40 species of freshwater fish and 117 documented amphibians, it is considered 'one of the most biologically intense areas in the world' by National Geographic magazine.



The Corcovado National Park can be reached by means of 2 stations: Sirena Station and San Pedrillo Station. In this stations, starts the daily walks inside the park with experienced local guides. If you get lucky you can see during the hike the 4 types of monkeys that are in Costa Rica: spider, howler, squirrel & capuchins, also tapirs, anteaters, sloths, scarlet macaws, great curassows, peccaries and much more. Even in the right season you can catch sight of the park marine life like whales, dolphins & turtles.

Corcovado-Sirena
National Park

Price: $90 PP
Departure: 6am
Return: 2:30pm

It is a 1 hour 25 minute trip from Drake Bay to Sirena Station, once arriving at the station you will get your feet wet when getting of the boat so we recommend to bring water shoes or sandals and then change to hiking shoes to make a smooth and slow 5-hour walk around the park.

What to wear during the tour: Water shoes to go down to the beach, comfortable hiking shoes, shorts and pants, comfortable shirt or long-sleeve shirt.

What to take to the tour: Water bottle, sunblock, mosquito repellent and camera.

Corcovado-San Pedrillo
National Park

Price: $80 PP
Departure: 6am
Return: 2:30pm

It has a duration of 45 minutes from Drake Bay beach to San Pedrillo Station located just in front of the beach. You will get your feet wet when getting off the boat so we recommend wearing water shoes or sandals and then change to hiking shoes. Once you are ready, you will take a 3 hours hike in the deep forest returning to the same point of exit to take a delicious lunch in the station and time to rest. Once with the batteries recharged you will start with another hike of 1 hour and a half to the waterfall where you can take a refreshing swim and enjoy the place.

Caño Island

Snorkel: $80 PP
Diving: $135 PP (2 Dives)
Departure: 7:30am
Return: 1:30pm

It is only 45 minutes by boat from Drake Bay. On arrival you will be able to see from its clear waters large rocks and corals that serve as a habitat for a variety of species. Once ready with the snorkel or diving equipment you will be able to enjoy a whole new world of white tip sharks, moray eels, turtles, barracudas, jackfish and great schools of multicolored fishes & others. Caño Island offers 2 different snorkel areas on the coral shores of the Island or diving in its depths.

For lunch you will go (depending on the weather) to a beautiful nearby beach called San Josecito, where a table with a rich picnic is prepared. In this beach, you will have time to rest for a while, take a short hike or even have another dive into the waters.

Canopy & Zip Lining

Price: $65 PP
Schedules: 7:30am | 10:30am | 1:30pm | 3.00pm

In this tours you will have a different perspective of the rainforest, with its 13 platforms & 11 cables located in the areas of primary and secondary forest. You will make a 2 hour tour through the high tree tops, till the last stop wich is the great cable of 500 mts. The guides are very well prepared and use great security measures. They have 4 tours during the day allowing you the option of choosing on your own, the time you want to enjoy this fun tour.

**The canopy staff will pick you up and bring you back**

What to wear to the tour: Closed or hicking shoes, shorts or comfortable pants & camera (guides can help with the photos)

Night Tour Walk

Price: $40 PP
Departure: 7:30Pm
Return: 9:30pm - 10:00pm

This tour is very well known and interesting, made by Tracie 'the bug lady' & Gianfranco Gómez. As a team, they will take you to a night walk where you can see frogs, insects, snakes, nocturnal mammals & some birds sleeping. Guides have extensive knowledge about these night crawlers so they will tell you stories and their behaviors. The tour starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Hotel Jinetes de Osa with a duration of approximately 2.5 hours. Tracie will give you a special headlight with infrared light so you don't disturb the animals.

Mangrove Tour

Price: $100 PP

This tour departs at 7:15 am, it is a very quiet, effortless but interesting tour since it is made from the same boat allowing you to wear comfortable clothes such as shorts, t-shirts & sandals. From each side of the boat you can see crocodiles, alligators, monkeys, turtles and others. In addition, this tour is great for those who love birds as you can see large varieties such as magnificent frigate, cormorant, booby, anhinga, mangrove hummingbird, yellow billed cotinga, and many more. It lasts about 6 hours.

**We ask that you make your reservation in advance to be able to accommodate them with other clients since it occupies a minimum of 5pax for this tour **

Bird watching

Price: $35 PP
5:30am - 3:00 pm

This tour is amongst the surroundings of the village, very early in the morning 5:30 am. There is also another schedule in the afternoon at 3:00 pm. In this tour you will find hummingbirds, scarlet macaws, toucans, aracaris, trogons, different tanager, motmot and antbird among others. The tour lasts 2 and a half hours and it is always recommended to wear hiking shoes.

Horseback riding

To the waterfall: $40 PP
To the beach: $40 PP
To San Josecito: $70 PP

It leaves at 8:00 am and lasts for 3 hours. The route is through both, primary and secondary forest. We offer several options where you can make your journey. The trip to San Josecito is 5 hours, it includes transportation by ATV, snacks and boat transportation from San Josecito beach to Agujitas.
